  14.     I'd like to use the GNU C and C++ compiler on RS/6000 workstations
  15. (with AIX 3.2) but the assembler shipped with the system contains bugs which
  16. prevent the use of debugging informations.  This quite annoying since I am
  17. working in a school (where debugging is really necessary :-).

  19.     I know that a fixed version of the assembler exists (I've read it in
  20. the gcc README.RS6000 file) but IBM France does not distribute it.
