  12.   The RS/6000-560 locked-up daily, no errors reported, no LED codes.
  13. All hardware tested OK.  The system could not be accessed from the
  14. network or the console.  The only fix was a reset.
  15.  
  16. Cause:
  17.  
  18.   A bug in the 3.2 kernel causes the system to hang when memory
  19. scrubbing is turned on.  IBM said that memory scrubbing should be
  20. off by default, but this doesn't appear to be true.  Once the
  21. memory scrubbing was turned off, the system was fine.

  23.   The following command was used to turn off memory scrubbing:

  25.     chdev -l sys0 -amemscrub=false
  26.  
  27.   SMIT can also be used.
