- Hello the net!
-
- We would like to configure our AIX boxes so that they issue a "usage
- warning message" when someone uses telnet(1) or rlogin(1) to connect
- to them. This message should appear before the "username:" prompt,
- not after, as in the /etc/motd.
-
- (the intent of the message is to warn people of the proper use of the
- machine).
-
- I've been able to do this for telnet(1) by modifing the
- /etc/security/login.cfg file (changed the "herald"). This does not
- work for rlogin(1) and I've been unable to find a way to get rlogind
- to use the herald message that I want.
-
- Any solutions out there? We run AIX 3.2
