- Subject: WordPerfect on IBM RS/6000 Workstations
-
- We have just installed WordPerfect 5.1 on our IBM
- workstations (IBM RS/6000 Models 320 and 560, AIX 3.2.0)
- Its performance, so far, has been very sluggish when any
- attempt is made to view a graphics image. We do a lot of
- technical writing and make heavy use of the equations
- editor in WordPerfect, which produces a graphics image for
- each equation. It can take up to 30 seconds or more just to
- move from one page to the next if the page has equations.
- UNIX customer support at WordPerfect says that we should
- expect it to be slow when using a lot of graphics;
- however, the current performance appears unacceptable.
-
- Has anyone had any experience with WordPerfect 5.1 on an IBM
- workstation?
