- The PTF's shipped with 3.2.3 in October were for the base release which
- basically just supported new hardware. The PTF's in that release dragged
- in some fixes, but most of the X11_3d PTF's were not a part of that PTF.
- That was the 3.2.3 BASE release. The 3.2.3 EXTENDED release just became
- available about 2 weeks ago and has all this 3D stuff wrapped in it. There
- is X11R5 plus 3D fixes for all hardware adapters, and software products like
- GL, phigs, etc...It is my "belief" that the above PTF is on that tape, and may
- even be superceded by a newer one, but it is hard to tell as PTF's get
- generated
- every few weeks. I would probably start by getting 3.2.3 extended and parsing
- your way thru the documentation to see what PTF's are on it for what you need.
- If there are still any problems, support should be able to track down if that
- problem still exists or if it has been fixed. Else it is best to wait until
- the next Selective enhancement or Preventive Maintenance Package for upgrades/
- fixes.
