- we ordered and received some of IBM's new 5GB 8mm tape transports. they look
- different, no flip down door, more like a fancy car tape deck (front load)
- and more lights. ANYWAY, i can't get it to configure. called IBM support, they
- said i needed some PTFs or V3.2.3 enhanced. i ordered both and got a tape
- fula PTFs, which i installed. still won't configure. looked at all the PTFs
- and none of them report to support the 5GB 8mm, looked at the PTFs list posted
- in AUstin, nothing on 5GB 8mm support. called back and got a long list of PTFs
- required and the one i can't find anywhere U411711. this is on a very busy
- system with lotsa SCSI devices so i'll attempt to install on another machine
- soon but i thought i'd ask if anyone else had successfuly configured one of
- these.
