- Well the problem seems to be that the DECstation does not like the ethernet
- address of our rs6000. A 'ping ibm' followed by 'arp ibm' returns:

- ibm (147.125.1.17) at (incomplete)

- The rest of machines on the subnet (suns, hp's, sgi, dg) all experience no
- difficulty in resolving the ethernet address.

- Using tcpdump I can see the arp request go out when the ping is entered and
- the arp reply return the address correctly as:

- 2:60:8c:2f:2:c9
