- I do the same scheme, and there are ranges of uid/gid reserved for
- central systems (which should then be used for the same person on all
- systems where they have an account), and ranges for each group of
- private workstations where the sysadmin can create local accounts/groups
- without granting accidental access problems with NFS (assuming everyone
- follows the conventions :-) ).
