- Here are the ones I know about and the ftp site/directory:
-
- batch (ftp.cs.utoronto.ca in /pub/batch.tar.Z) - works on Sun, SGI,
- Ultrix, Apollo Domain/OS, Stardent, MIPS. This is the one I use.
- Does not work across a network. Users can get mail when job finishes.
- Starts/suspends jobs based on load average, time of day, etc.
- I have got this working on HP-UX 8.07, but without the job
- time limits (everything else works OK).
-
- nqs (pemrac.space.swri.edu in /public/convexug/nqs.tar.Z) - works on
- Convex and Sun (and probably on other BSD systems). I don't know
- what relation this version of NQS has to the Cray/SGI version(s).
- NQS is available from SGI for SGI systems (quite cheaply for
- universities as far as I know).
-
- mqds (uxc.cso.uiuc.edu in ~ftp/services/mdqs.tar.Z) - no info.
-
- I would also try "archie" to see what it comes up with.
