- My boss wants me to give a 2-3 hour training session on using Unix more
- effectively. I was wondering if any of you had already done such a thing and
- had some notes you could email me? My user's have been using Unix for about
- 1 year, half of them have workstations on their desks and the others use telnet.
- Most of them don't seem to be willing to teach themselves, several still can't
- seem to grasp the man command. It's truly amazing how someone can ask me
- a question, then watch as I type 'man foo', put my finger on the screen, and
- read off the answer! Yet these people will be back in a day or two with
- another question that can be answered with RTFM!
-
- Hmmm, maybe I can talk for an hour about online docs, the man command, reading
- via phonetics, etc :-)
