  12. I do not have PicTeX so that I cannot evaluate its capabilities. However,
  13. I would like to say a few words how I deal with pictures.
  14. I use LaTeX which has its not very friendly picture environment. To make
  15. pictures, I combine it with METAFONT, which is quite simple. There may be
  16. some problems with large pictures but it may be handled. I had no problems
  17. with simple graphs of size 10cm (4in). Up to now I have not needed to
  18. typeset diagrams but for this I woud preferably use the XYpic package. (I am
  19. not sure about the correct name and spelling of the author but I hope it's
  20. Kristoffer Hogsbro Rose.)
