  24. 1. tex386 doesn't work with the format-files from tex, tex286 or btex. You have to
  25.     create a new format-file. This is usual in the directory \emtex\btexfmts.
  26.     Look in this directory or in the directory \emtex\texfmts vor the Cmd-files
  27.     to build the format-files. 
  28. 2. tex386 needs the directory of the format-file in the environment-variable
  29.     BTEXFMTS.
