- I'm new to the world of TeX, and I was trying to use the \font
- control word in the following way:
-
- \font\mike1 = cmr10
-
- and TeX returned the following error:
-
- ! Font \mike=1 not loadable: Metric (TFM) file not found.
-
- HOWEVER, when I changed the line to:
-
- \font\mikea = cmr10
-
- everything worked. Why is "mikea" valid and "mike1" not valid?
- Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
