- Hello,
-
- I have a rather large table (say a box of height \vsize) which I want to show
- up *IN THE RUNNING TEXT* (and *not* on a separate page at the end). When I
- twiddle with
- \def\topfraction{1.01}
- \def\textfraction{-0.09}
- LaTeX places the float (table) on a page in the running text, but it INSISTS
- on also placing at least ONE LINE OF TEXT on the same page. Not only does
- this look ugly, but my table sticks out on the bottom end and so this one
- line of text overprints part of the table which can not be tolerated.
-
- Can anyone help and tell me what to do to get rid of this one last line of
- text on my page with the table (which should ideally only have the table
- (float), but appear in the running text)?
-
- Please e-mail if possible, and
- THANKS A LOT!!
-
