- I have a Tandy 1000 TL/2. I want to put a 1.44 meg floppy into it. I
- purchased an 8-bit floppy driver controller, but I cannot get the computer
- to recognize the drive as a 1.44 drive. I have used the SETUPTL2.COM
- program (with the /a paramter), but there's nothing in there that seems
- to shut off the motherboard floppy controller.
-
- The card that I bought is SUPPOSED to override the motherboard BIOS,
- but I still cannot get the computer to work with the drive.
-
- Has anyone else attempted to do this? I am upgrading my system to a
- 386 system, but until I can get all the parts to make it fully functional,
- I would like to at least use the 1.44 drive in my Tandy until then.
-
- What I feel I must say, though, is my Tandy was not worth the money I spent
- on it. If I cannot upgrade it with a 1.44 meg drive, I can't really say
- that this is a fully "IBM compatbile" computer (as the sales person told
- me!)
-
- Any help would greatly be appreciated,
- Ivan
