  27. I think the physical science stuff is far more interesting than
  28. some of their computing stuff (pardon my friends who work there).
  29. Bill Gosper pointed out the grottiness of physicist code ;^).
  30. Too bad you can't easily take a tour.  I have a 4 inch sabot from
  31. the last tour milled at the High Explosives Applications Facility as a
  32. paper weight.  The defunct mirror fusion facility is interesting as are
  33. the Nova Lasers.  They produced a nice 40 year ann. from founding booklet
  34. which you might be able to write for copies to LLNL.
