- Plug a mini-stereo<->mini-stereo cable from the headphone jack of the
- cd-player to the microphone jack of the SparcStation. Use of an
- impedance matcher (Radio Shack is one source, there must be others) is
- recommended but you can probably get by with carefully setting the
- volume of the cd-player low enough so the audio sounds fine. Then set
- the monitor volume (via audiotool or other means) and you can listen to
- the audio without burning any CPU cycles (the monitor functionality
- exists entirely in the codec). You can also record the input
- as you would normally.
