- Hi,
-
- I asked this allready twice, got some answers, tried out
- some of the advice, but didn't solve the problem yet.
- As there were lots of others with similiar problems, maybe
- some of them managed to repair their monitors. Well:
-
- I've got got a Sun Mono 19" Monitor, for the Sun 3/60 (-> ECL input),
- manufactured by Phillips, Canada. It was build in 1990 (and should
- not die so young !!!)
-
- The monitor is flickering (getting dimmer/brighter in irregular periods).
-
- I read, that people managed to repair the monitor by changing the tantal
- capacitors, but mine got no tantal capacitors. I decided to change all
- bigger capacitors instead, but with no result so far.
-
- If the flyback transformator is bad, what replacement part could i use
- (product number of a different manufacturer, source in europe ?...)
- How do i check, if it's the flyback transformator?
-
- Any hints ?
-
