  12. We are ordering a SUN SPARCstation 10 Model 54 for our scientists
  13. and would like suggestions from anyone.  We will be using the
  14. SUN for Genetic database searches (e.g. IntelliGenetics Suite, etc.)
  15. [basically large (+1 gig) databases).

  20. GX 8-bit Accelerated 2-D/3-D Color Graphics
  21. 19" Monitor
  22. 128 Mbyte memory
  23. 4-Gbyte SCSI
  24. 3.5 Floppy drive
  25. Solaris 2.x (media and docs)
  26. SunCd Pack
  27. Online DiskSuite Software (CDROM)
  28. Sun Database Excelerator
  29. NetWare SunLink
  30.  
  31. As I said before, I need this to be a *very* fast database machine and
  32. any suggestions would be helpful.
