- Hello Everyone:
-
- We have a vme extender card cage that is connected to a Sun4/330, 33 MHz,
- and has some custom VME slave cards plugged into it. The VME slave
- cards are nothing fancy, they just return a DTACK when addressed.
- This setup worked fine under SunOS Release 4.0. When we recently
- upgraded the software to SunOS Release 4.1.2, the machine refuses
- to boot up and panics with a "memory address alignment" when checking
- file systems with the VME slave cards powered on. If I remove the
- slave cards, the machine boots fine. What is it in Release 4.1.2
- that checks the VME bus during power up that was not in previous
- releases?
-
- Thanks for any help.
