  18. It has to do with "greed".  And although the "decade of greed" ended 3
  19. years ago, I doubt that most people have abandoned the idea that money
  20. can make life less miserable :-).  The "parasites" that invest money
  21. in companies expect to get something back, when the companies' products
  22. sell well and generate earnings.

  24. Sun's products generate earnings because people buy them.  DEC's
  25. products don't.  I've made a ton of money on Sun stock, and lost a ton
  26. on DEC stock. (or at least a couple of pounds on each :-).  I suspect that
  27. parasites like me have something in common with computer buyers/users
  28. like me.
