  12. I have both xmodem (3.9) & kermit on a Sun Sparc.  I have not been able to
  13. transfer files with either.  The log file contains (Timeout - Remote system
  14. not responding).  The scenario is that I tip out to a modem from the Sun tty
  15. port and dial into a bulletin board.  The interactive dialog from the
  16. bulletin board works fine.  Then I start a download and use the tip
  17. shell escape to invoke either xmodem or kermit on the Sun side.  I am not
  18. getting any successful bytes, so I suspect something at the termio level.
  19. I have tried enabling 8bit mode (stty pass8), without success.  Does anyone
  20. have experience with this?
