- Hi,
- I'm trying to transfer files via FTP from an Iris to a PC.
- On the PC, I've successfully (I think) installed Novell Lan Workplace
- for DOS (their TCP/IP package) such that the PC can ping itself.
- On the Iris, I've run
- ifconfig ec0 inet up
- and the iris can ping itself (strangely, it could even before the ifconfig).
- However, they can't ping each other. When I try,
- the Iris says 'host unreachable', and the 'collisions' field of netstat -i
- increases.
-
- Has anyone else gotten this combination to work? Is there anything odd
- I should know about setting up TCP/IP on Irises (I am famillair with Suns)?
- Thanks,
- - Dan Kegel (dank@blacks.jpl.nasa.gov)
