- I'm seeking some help please in trying to figure out how to get NTSC video
- out of an Iris 2400 Turbo that was recently given to me. I've discovered
- that the machine can be configured for two out of three display monitor
- types: 60Hz-noninterlaced, 30Hz-interlaced and NTSC. It currently is set
- for 60Hz and 30Hz. I'd prefer NTSC to 30Hz since I'd like to do some
- animation work. Any idea what it takes to get NTSC out?
- I seem to remember that it required switching some internal DIP switches
- on a card but who knows which ones?
-
- I'd also like to know what each card does. There are three cards on one
- side and five cards on the other. They are labeled:
-
- IP1
- Ethernet
- DSD
-
- BP3
- BP3
- DC4
- UC4
- GF2
-
- Ethernet is obvious, I think IP1 is some sort of interprocessor/bus interface
- card for connecting the cards on the left side to those on the right.
- I don't know what DSD might be (disk controller?).
- I suspect the BP3's are bitplane cards (3 planes?). GF2 may be the geometry
- engines. And DC4, UC4 the processor and RAM cards (I know there's 4M of RAM).
