  17. SGI's "Impressario" software option (available from SGI Express)
  18. supports the DeskJet 500C (and thus the 550C, transparently) for SGI
  19. Images, PostScript, and text.  However, the support requires a
  20. built-in parallel port.  Do you have access to a PI or an Indigo?
