- Maybe I am just too dense to see the obvious, but how can I have a Motif
- application come up with a 24-bit shell? I need a 24-bit DrawingArea, and
- I can't use a GLX widget because that would be nonportable.
-
- Trying to fiddle with the shell XmNvisual is either ignored or terminates
- the application. Replacing XtAppInitialize() with an explicit Xt incantation
- and supplying appropriate arguments to XtAppCreateShell() doesn't help
- either. I always get "Visual: 0x25 (8 bit PseudoColor)" (says xwininfo).
-
- Thanks for your help,
-
- Thomas
