  11. Novice question:  does SGI support the alternate character set defined
  12. in curses.h by #define A_ALTCHARSET    000100000000L ?
  13. The latest version of gopher (1.1) uses this to draw a box, but on the
  14. SGI console all you get is a mess of letters.  Is there some way to use
  15. an extended character set so that these "business graphics" appear?

  17. The box is drawn correctly when I log in from a PC as a terminal.
  18.  
  19. Is this perhaps just a matter of choosing the right screen font?  If so,
  20. how do I know which fonts support line drawing characters?
