  13. Is it possible to determine if a crash dump exists before /etc/savecore
  14. runs?

  16. What I'd like to do is determine if a crash dump exists on the swap device
  17. before /etc/savecore runs and then make room for the vmcore file that
  18. /etc/savecore creates by deleteing other files in the same file system.

  20. I've got a rather large scratch space where users keep large temporary
  21. files.  I don't want to delete them if I don't have to, just when I need to
  22. make room for a crash dump.

  24. Any useful suggestions (or even guesses) would be appreciated.  Thanks.
