  24. digital and computer graphics technology.  We are seeking a senior
  25. systems/network administrator to manage and grow our networks for
  26. our increasing high-volume data requirements.  As part of the ILM team,
  27. you'll have the opportunity to work with very creative and imaginative
  28. people in a fast-paced production environment.  You'll be a member of a
  29. small Computer Services staff with broad support responsibilities.

  31. Responsibilities:

  33. As the lead systems/network administrator you will provide
  34. direction and leadership for network planning and optimization.
  35.  
  36. Your day-to-day activities will include:
  37.  
  38. o Research, evaluate and recommend emerging network technology.
  39.  
  40. o Analyze troubleshoot and optimize production networks.  
  41.   
  42. o Plan, analyze and tune system performance of our SGI and Sun workstations.
  43.  
  44. o Communicate with project and department managers to ensure network 
  45.   and computing systems are performing adequately.
  46.  
  47. o Develop procedures and programs to manage installation and administration
  48.   of all workstation software (OS, graphics-specific, and other software).
  49.  
  50. o Define, improve, develop and monitor data backup of our 
  51.   high-volume data.
  52.  
  53. o Troubleshoot software problems.
  54.  
  55. o Assist with workstation installation, configuration and administration.

  58. Qualifications:
  59. ===============
  60. o BS in Computer Science (or 4 years related experience in place 
  61.   of educational requirement).
  62.  
  63. o Minimum 4 years experience in system and network administration, 
  64.   preferably in a large workstation environment including SGI and 
  65.   Sun systems.
  66.  
  67. o Demonstrated understanding of networking fundamentals and 
  68.   state-of-the-art technology including: TCP/IP, network analysis,
  69.   routers, NFS, FDDI and  broadband networks.
  70.  
  71. o Working knowledge of UNIX (System VR4, c-shell, awk) and C.
  72.  
  73. o Ability to work in fast-paced production environment.
