OK, but what do you use for the BSD filters ?? Our suns have NeWSprint (as
probably do yours) which is not portable to SGIs.
So what does a typical entry in you SGI printcap looklike for a postscript printer on the parallel port ?
Why does SGI state in the system admin manual "Sillicon Graphics, Inc. does not support using lpr on your system to access a printer that is connected directly to your system ?" Are there some bugs in the sgi implementation of lpr ? Is it just that it is not in the prefered flavour of System V ?
