  26. Unfortunately, you don't provide much info about what is going
  27. on.  If you are NFS exporting (r/w) the mail spool directory, that
  28. is generally agreed on to be a poor idea, partly because of
  29. locking issues.  Ask on comp.sys.mail if you really
  30. want to know why people constantly have problems doing it
  31. in heterogenous environments.

  33. You may be running afoul of some of the NFS locking issues.
  34. 405 IRIX has a whole new lockd (and 405C has one with a
  35. couple of minor ;) bugs fixed; in fact, the new lockd is one
  36. of two files in the 405C patch).
