  16.     I'd like to propose the purchase of several Indigo Elan workstations to
  17. our local Art Department, but I'm not sure what software to advise them to buy.
  18. Given a software budget of (merely) $5000, I am interested in the following in
  19. order of prioity:
  20.  
  21.     2D color paint programs
  22.     2D image enhancement programs (similar to PhotoLab)
  23.     Animation & multimedia packages
  24.     2D drawing programs
  25.     3D rendering software (preferably with modeling usable by people 
  26.         ordinarily very insecure with computers)
  27.     Word processors and that ilk
  28.  
  29. If you could help with any information, if you can suggest any particular packages
  30. and name prices, if you would like to learn what I find, (or if you work for SGI
  31. and would like to send me a software catalog)...I would appreciate hearing from you.
