- Supposedly all ports are active. I don't think (2) means that you
- disable parallel to get Ethernet. My guess is that (2) really means
- that the fastest the interpreter receives data from the interface
- board is at the rate of the parallel port. Thus you'll only get in
- the neighborhood of 100KB/sec no matter which port use use.

- The latter. In addition, Tektronix will be upgrading their software
- support to work with SGI's Impressario product, greatly speeding image
- printing, improving the color correction software, and generally very
- much improving the interface.

- If you use lpd, you need not use the software drivers (called
- "TekPhaser") shipped with the printer, since they won't be invoked
- without some hackery on your part.

- If you use lpd, a generic PostScript output filter should work fine.
