  21. I think Jeff Hanson already answered the ftp question (I definately
  22. need to read comp.sys.sgi more often :-).  In addition to
  23. swedishchef.lerc.nasa.gov, it should also be available anyplace
  24. alt.sources is archived.

  26. As for reading the CD over the network, it doesn't do it.  It might be
  27. an interesting feature, but there would probably be performance
  28. problems (you would probably get pauses in the sound trying to put
  29. 44.1K/s across the network), and it would only work on machines with
  30. audio hardware (ie. 4D/35 or Indigo).
