- Hogwash! We have printers on SGI's and Sun's and use lpr exclusively
- to send files to from ALL machines and with no problems. Just manually set
- up your printcap and hosts.lpd files the same as you would on any standard
- BSD UNIX machine. Currently we are using parallel ports on our SGI's for
- the printers, however I know of people who use the serial ports too.
