  14. I have a Qualstar 3402 9-track tape drive on my system (4.0.5). I can use
  15. it from backup and tar just fine. I need, however, to read some tapes
  16. written by a foreign system. These tapes have variable block lengths and
  17. are not ANSI standard.

  19. I have been unable to open the tape in such a way as to allow reading the
  20. raw blocks from the tape. All I get is a zero record length returned from
  21. my read (i.e., an EOT).

  23. Is there someone out there that can point me in the right direction. I
  24. would certainly appreciate it.
