- Greetings. I am new to configuring SG computers. I now have a 4D80GTX
- with the Interphase ESDI controller, a (new) 330MB ESDI harddisk, and
- a tpsc tape device. I don't have a maint. contract. I need to know:
-
- 1. Can I add a scsi hardisk to the system as is ? The documentation seems
- to imply there is a scsi disk system (dpsc) and a scsi tape system (tpsc),
- is that the case ? I connected a too-small scsi disk to the scsi connector
- and the system appeared to recognize it, but is this a good way to run ?
-
- 2. If I do get a scsi disk to work, can I remove the Interphase board ? I tried
- that but the system refused to boot to the prom monitor. Must I somehow tell
- the prom that there is no Interphase board in slot 3 ?
-
- Any responces to "duling@vaxe.niehs.nih.gov" are appreciated
