- Hi all,
-
- I'm reproducing this for those who don't follow comp.unix.shell. Many
- problems of special interest to SGI users have been fixed between 6.02 and
- 6.03, among others the "-t" operator which is used in SGI's default .login. I
- haven't tried lately, but one now ought to be able to change one's shell from
- csh to tcsh without worrying about startup files at all. Note that problems
- with "-t" and similar teensy bugs have often been the cause of the "my
- xsession went south" questions so often seen in this group.

- Summary: for anonymous ftp from tesla.ee.cornell.edu
-
- Hello everyone,
-
- This is the release announcement of tcsh version 6.03. Tcsh is a
- version of the Berkeley C-Shell, with the addition of: a command line
- editor, programmable completion and listing, and a bunch of
- small additions and bug fixes to the shell itself.
-
- Tcsh now runs on VMS/Posix, OS/2-emx and Coherent, as well as many known
- and unknown unix variants :-)
-
- Tcsh-6.03 does not contain any new features, but it has lots of bug fixes
- and minor cleanups.
-
- You can grab a copy of tcsh, from
- tesla.ee.cornell.edu:/pub/tcsh/tcsh-6.03.tar.Z
-
- As always I would like to thank all the people who helped test and debug
- all twelve patches of 6.02...
-
- christos
