  13. I have never used the SGI phone lines because I have never
  14. needed to!  Invariably when I post a question here, it is
  15. answered within a day or two.  Dave Olson and others are *very*
  16. helpful.  Most recently, I had a crash that clobbered x-windows.
  17. I was afraid I'd face a night of system rebuilding, but several
  18. folks on the net (including SGI employees) quickly told me which
  19. configuration file got munged.  In fact, I actually hesitated to
  20. try the fix they suggested because I couldn't believe it was that
  21. simple; after a couple days of manual reading I gave up and tried
  22. what the net wizards suggested--and in 5 minutes X-windows was
  23. back up!
