  25.                       CURSIVE RECOGNITION FOR PENPOINT

  28. Dr. Nag will outline the challenges facing handwriting recognition scientists.
  29. The talk will present the state-of-the-art in handwriting technology and
  30. projections for improvements in cursive handwriting.  Lexicus' cursive hand-
  31. writing recognition technology "Longhand" will be demonstrated running under
  32. the PenPoint environment.

  34. Dr. Nag is co-founder and president of Lexicus.  He has a PhD. from Cambridge
  35. University and an MBA from MIT.  He has been a visiting scholar at Stanford
  36. University.

  38. As a special offer to attendees, those completing an order for a beta copy
  39. of Longhand on the day of the talk will get a $100 discount: $395 instead of
  40. $495.

  42. WPDO members: the videotape library will be at the meeting.  If you would like

  69.                   Foster City.  Turn left on Edgewater (the 3rd light, about

  72.                   story building.
