  13. AJS->I was told that that particular adapter put out 9 volts so I put it in
  14. AJS->the FAQ List that way.  I'll change it now.  My 95 manual lists the
  15. AJS->maximum as 12 volts so I wouldn't expect it to be a problem, but I
  16. AJS->can't guarantee anything.

  18. I've used a 12-volt AC adapter for a while and I quit using it. It
  19. _WILL_ work, but the bottom of my HP gets a little toasty. I spent the
  20. extra $5 or so and bought a Rat Shack universal AC adapter that puts out
  21. 9V, and now I dont have any heat buildup problems.  HP sez that 12V is
  22. okay, but the person I talked to on the phone said they reccommended 9V
  23. if anyone can help it.
