- Be very careful, wiring batteries in parrallel could burn a hole
- in your pocket unless you put in some protection. If one of the
- batteries goes low the others will back feed into it, worse if it
- goes bad. I would recommend putting a diode in series with each
- battery before wiring them in parallel.

- Interesting about the 273-1651B. It is rated at 9V 500 mA while
- the 273-1455 recommended in the HP95 FAQ is rated at 9V 300 mA.
- In practice these adapters generally develop significantly more
- than their rated voltage on no load so that under load the voltage
- (which will fall due to internal losses) will be correct. The
- 1455 puts out 11.5 volts on no load.
-
- Someone else also posted info from a recent manual which says
- the voltage limit on the HP95 is 12 volts maximum. This does
- not neccessarily mean that it is safe to run it at 12 volts
- specially if the adapter has inadequate filtering of the
- rectified AC. 12 volts is probably the absolute maximum rating.
