- You didn't mention the Wizard model number that had this problem. I've
- used a 8200 for over a year. The 8200 has two sets of batteries and an
- internal switch. I've never lost any data while replacing the batteries on
- my Wizard. There are also a couple of alternatives - Sharp has a power
- transformer that plugs into the Wizard and there is also an external
- battery pack that holds four AA cells. You should be able to use either one
- to power the unit while you backup prior to changing the batteries.
