  21. I have a Psion 3 and normally use a SPARCstation in the office
  22. and an Amiga at home.  At home I have a comms package that
  23. supports Y-modem and on the SPARCstation I have support for
  24. X-modem.  I do all my data transfer using the Psion Serial Link.

  26. When transfering single files there are few problems, sometimes
  27. the Amiga Y-modem does not like some Psion files but that is
  28. rare.  I normally transfer data to the SPARCstation as strait
  29. ASCII files, just because it is so easy.

  31. My main comment would be that not having a PC or Mac makes it
  32. difficult to backup the Psion, because you do not know all the
  33. file names in advance.  When I need to make a backup I tend to
  34. borrow a PC to do it.

  36. By the way you will need a sex converter to plug the serial link
  37. into your Sun.
