- The Psion 3 has a MS-Word compatible word processor in it, MS-Word is
- available for Macintoshes, so in that sense the Psion 3 has a Macintosh
- compatible word processor. If you happen to use a Macintosh word
- processor that can't handle MS-Word files you might have a problem.
-
- Any of the MS-DOS palmtops should be able to run MS-Word as well (with
- the possible exception of the HP-95LX). I think the MS-Works word
- processor can generate files that are readable by MS-Word. The Zeos
- Pocket PC has MS-Works built in, although the software could also be
- installed on other palmtops. All of the MS-DOS palmtops, except for
- the HP-95LX, have 80x25 displays and are also about twice the size of
- the Psion 3.

-
- The smallest machine I know of with a backlight is the Gateway 2000
- HandBook. The machine could be considered either a subnotebook or a
- palmtop. Backlights take a lot of power, which contributes to the 4
- hour battery life of the HandBook. Larger machines begin to approach
- the size and cost of a Macintosh Duo.
