- I'm having a problem mounting a volume on one of our Novell file servers.
-
- The machine is an IBM Model 65 with 16MB Ram and and IBM SCSI card. There are
- two disk drives attached, a Quantum PD425 and an Imprimis 94601-15. We are
- running 3.11 with DOS, Mac and NFS name spaces. The server is serving a
- small research lab the contains Macs, OS/2 and Dos PCs and a NeXTstation
- running version 3.0 of NeXTstep.
-
- The Imprimis drive suddenly dismounted itself and refuses to remount. I don't
- know if there was anything on the console when this happened but there was
- nothing in the system error log. When we try to remount the volume we get the
- message "Invalid extended attribute in directory entry". I have run vrepair
- several times but we still can't mount the volume. I can't find any reference
- to this error message in my docs. I would be greatful for any ideas as the
- users last several months work is on this disk and of course they haven't been
- doing regular backups.
-
- Thanks In Advance
