- Certainly AFP clients can access bindery objects otherwise, how would a given
- user login to the NetWare for Macintosh (3.x) server? Actually they use a
- "beast" called the side band to get things done in that Macintosh clients
- make (for example) AFP calls that are submitted to AFP.NLM which forwards the
- appropriate NCP request. If you were to buy the NetWare C Interface for the
- Macintosh, you would get a set of APIs that would allow you to do the above.

- As far as SEMAPHORES are concerned, there are currently no published APIs allow-
- ing Macintosh client programmers to access and use SEMAPHORES. But consider the
- functionality request forwarded...;-)
