- I recently (just now) set up my netWare 3.11 file server with the NFS.NAM and NUC.NLM
- combo.
-
- First, I loaded the NFS.NAM module, successfully, it said. Then I did the command: add
- name space nfs to volume apps. This also seemed to work. When I type: add name space at
- the remote console, I get :
-
- Loaded name spaces are:
- DOS
- MAC
- NFS
-
- Next, I added two files to sys:etc. They are hfsusers and nfsgroup. I inserted my NeXT
- numerical id and the corresponding NetWare userid, such as:
-
- 108 joer
-
- I added in nfsgroup:
-
- 20 staff
-
- When I get on my NeXT and log into the NetWare server via the client and try to transfer files,
- however, I get rejected if the file name is longer than the DOS module. Of course the same
- thing occurs on a PC.
-
- Would like to store longer file names on the NetWare 3.11 file server, and I would deeply
- appreciate any assistance that can be offered in this matter.
-
- Please reply by email. I would be glad to summarize, if a solution is discovered.
-
- Thanks!
- Joe
