  12. I followed the instructions in the documentation which allow you to disable
  13. the power-off key when the login panel is displayed, using the following line
  14. in /etc/ttys:

  16. console "/usr/lib/NextStep/loginwindow -PowerOffDisabled true"  NeXT
  17. on secure window=/usr/lib/NextStep/WindowServer onoption="/usr/etc/getty
  18. std.9600"

  20. What I have found, though, is that this works following system boot up, but
  21. after any user has logged in and back out, anyone can shut the machine down
  22. via the power key from the console, so it seems as though this option is being
  23. overridden or reset after logging in.
