  12. In my original posting, I asked for advice on how to
  13. make NeXTmail readable again after it had been received
  14. by a regular unix machine.

  16. My deepest gratitude and appreciation to all those nice
  17. people who helped me out with this problem.  I am now a
  18. happy receiver and reader of NeXTmail items!

  20. The solution:
  21. 1) Save the body of the message, append it to your
  22.    /usr/spool/mail/username file.  Go into the Mail.app.
  23.  
  24. or 
  25. 2) Copy the whole thing, including header and mail it
  26.   to yourself with non-NeXTmail.  cat file > mail username.
  27.  
  28.  
  29. 3) Remove the header and change the .tar.###.stuff.attach
  30.   phrase to filename.tar.Z.  Save it.  uudecode file.
  31.   then zcat and untar the resulting files in that order.
